1. With such a beautiful beginning, what happend? What do you think of the book of Genesis as a whole; do you accept it as historical or allegorical? Or a little of both? Does your approach to Genesis make a difference in what it says and applies? How did Jesus take Genesis?
2. How can someone who is not a Christian make good choices? Howcan our conscious serve us before regeneration? How does it serve us after? What area in your life have you weakened your own voice of conscious and now do not feel as bad doing wrong like you used to? How is this dangerous?
3. Looking at how the Nation of Israel tried to accomplish God's purposes in their own strength, governed by their own conscious- how are we similar today? Does our impatience with ourselves and others cause us to want to take matters into our own hands? What is the difference between tolerating something and holding something accountable? Does God tolerate our sin or hold us accountable to it? If it is God's purpose to commit, empower and govern us into the image of His Son, how important is the Holy Spirit in our lives?
