Going Deeper Questions
1. David was a patient boy with his dad who then became a patient man with his God. Why do we wrestle with being patient/ Why is it so hard? Can you remember a time you took matters into your own hands and it proved disastrous? How does our level of patience serve as a gauge on our faith in God (or lack thereof)?
2. Have you ever thought about this considering David & Goliath? Does this excite you to desire God's Word more? What will you do this week to know God through His Word more intimately?
3. Why is Paul being so graphic in describing our Spiritual Warfare against personal sin? Do you share this perspective when dealing with your own sin? Why do you think we as Christians / Churches struggle to not tolerate sin, make it less offensive to God or fall into the snare that "there will be time enough to repent one day"?
