Title: We Are Invited to Shine!
Series: Living in the Holy Spirit
Text: Key Passage- Deuteronomy 8:3
Main Idea: God’s Word Fills, Transforms & Leads us!
I. Let There Be Light! (Genesis 1)
God creates and makes a declaration, “Let there be light”.
This would be distinct from its absence, which is darkness
God creates division within Light- Greater and Lesser to
distinguish signs and seasons (Vv.14-19)
The greater and lesser were all part of the Natural Creation
God created and set into motion to help us navigate and
grow ->all before sin became a part of the narrative<-

III. A Light Shines into the Darkness
Moses Transforms- because of feasting on God’s every word,
receiving the nourishment that comes to the soul first
through fasting finds nourishment beyond food for the body
(Exodus 34:29-35) ->see also Matthew 6:33
God desires to replicate this relationship to the people
Jesus affirms that we are the Gospel light in this world- don’t
hide it! (Matthew 5:14-16)
IV. No More Veils!
Moses wore a veil, not out of fear for his leadership, but out of
not seeing the fuller reality of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:12-18)
Unless God opens the eyes to see, no matter how much we shine,
it is veiled to the world around us!
Strive to be in His Presence through His Word, Prayer and
Fasting, and you too will SHINE for Him! ->NOTE 1 Corinthians
