Handing Off the Baton

April 28, 2019 Speaker: Damian Mericka Series: Empowered to Run the Race

Topic: Handing Off the Baton

Going deeper questions (Life Group)

  • What stood out to you about this message and why?
  • Have you ever thought about how God, as a Tri-une being is present in Gospel Ministry? What is significant with Jesus breathing on them?  Why would learning to trust the Spirit be so important for the Disciples? (Point I)
  • Why did Peter lead the others to fish? Have you ever gone back to do something that is no longer any fun like it once was? Relate this to your walk with Christ- how attracted are we to things that do not honor Jesus? What did Jesus ask them to do? (Point II)
  • What does moving forward with Jesus look like for you right now? (Point II)
  • Before we look at Spiritual Gifting and Miraculous Working, the emphasis is on our maturity in the Word. As Jesus passed the baton to Peter, and Peter to next generation, what value Spiritual Maturity have as a goal in your life? Who are you Handing the Baton off to? (Point III)
